Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Great place for quick bites and quality traditional Venezuelan food. The food and the jugo naturales here are delicious! I loved the hamburger and the traditional Venezuelan breakfast plate called Pabellón Criollo which is the national dish of Venezuela. Both were so delicious! I'll be back soon!"
"This place is my culinary highlight of day 2 in Medellin. Sporting popular Colombian dishes with a Venezuelan twist, this comfortable Laureles spot has it all. Fresh juegos, cervesas and a multi page menu. I had the maduros con carne. A big ripe plantain sliced in half and roasted, covered with tender shredded beef and covered with queso fresco and drizzled with a creamy sauce. I love the Spanish word for wow. Guau! Lots to try here, I'll be back. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED"
"Absolutely loved the tender, juicy, delicious meat - the best we’ve had in Medellin by far. And the sides dishes were also full of flavour. Big thanks to the owner who was so attentive, helpful and flexible with some minor menu changes. Don’t miss this place - it’s soooo good!"
"Took my wife and buddy here for dinner. Everyone was quite satisfied with the food and stuffed. They offer a good selection of Venezuelan dishes in various forms. One typical dish is stuffed arepas, which we all ordered. I've been a huge fan of the pabellón criolla for years. I got an arepa stuffed with this (black beans, pulled beef, cheese, and plantain). It was well stuffed and tasty. A very nice amount of filling. My buddy got a Reina Pepiada (shredded chicken, mayo, avocado). He was happy, though it tasted great. My wife got the simple shredded chicken and cheese. She enjoyed hers as well. Simple, but tasty. They have a great papelón drink (lime juice, panel, and ice water). Must try."
"Unbelievably delicious! The chicha was amazing (almost dessert), my cachapa was fresh, hot, and so delicious. Wonderful service! A fun vibe on the patio!"
"This place is amazing Since the first time I've been there, I just keep coming back because food is so good an delicious that you jyst want to go back again... Stuff is great, service flawless, location great, prices are very reasonable and the portions are just big... Arepas are so tasty... Yea, I'm definitely going back there again"
"Fairly decent food...I ordered the Chicken Cachapas, 30k pesos. Fantastic sauces included! Worth a try."
"This is one of the best arepas I’ve had and quite unlike a Colombian arepa. It was filled with juicy steak, buttery cheese, fresh toppings and delicious corn arepa. My friend got their menu del día and said he was pretty happy with that. I look forward to coming back and trying some of their other offerings"
